How will I know when the service has been activated?
When the service has been implemented, you will receive an activation notification from Postini®.
How much work do I have to do?
Very little. LogicalSolutions.net will handle all implementation and integration, but you will still need to log-in and create a password. Upon initial login, you can set the aggressiveness of filters and how often you wish to be notified of a quarantined piece of mail.
Are my e-mails still secure?
Postini® services are private and secure. E-mail and virus protection is an automated process. No one has access to your e-mail except you.
What happens if Postini® blocks an important e-mail?
Postini® will regularly update you if a suspicious e-mail has been picked up with a link to the message center to view the suspect transmission. Once you login to the message center, you can set preferences for senders to approve or block any e-mail address and their communications.
What is spooling and do you offer it?
Spooling prevents email loss during any outages of your mail server by automatically storing incoming messages on a backup server, then unspooling and delivering when your servers are restored. No messages are ever lost or bounced back to the sender. It is an add-on feature that is not required.
I have multiple addresses, do I pay for each?
If you have multiple email aliases, you have to pay for each protected email account. There are exceptions though such as multiple corporate domains with all identical email accounts, or other unique situations. Contact us for more info on this if in doubt as to whether or not you would be charged.
Postini Spam Protection
Postini protects your computer by not allowing junk email messages from entering your computer. You can check on these malicious messages by logging into your account at http://www.postini.com. On the page, click the “postini login” link on the right side of the page. Once there, enter your entire email address example: johndoe@tcaexpress.net and your password. When you log in, you will view all messages that have been captured by Postini. From there, you can choose to delete or save messages. You can also establish blocked senders and approved senders by clicking the “Junk Email Settings” link on the main page.
Once you have established an approved sender, all messages from the sender will not be stopped by postini and will be downloaded to your computer. All messages from blocked senders will automatically blocked.
You can also set the degree of aggressiveness Postini screens certain types of spam email. Under Junk Email settings, you can set what gets blocked and to what degree of Aggressive. |
